What This Program Is

Being in the hospital with a child fighting a congenital heart defect is exhausting — emotionally, physically, and mentally. There’s no clocking out. No full night’s sleep. Just monitors, fear, and love that doesn’t stop, even when you’re running on empty. The Coffee Warriors Program exists to give CHD parents something small but meaningful during those hardest days: a coffee gift card, and a reminder that they are not alone.

What Makes This Program Special

This isn’t about the coffee itself. It’s about what it represents — someone outside the four walls of that hospital room seeing what it costs you to show up for your child, day after day, night after night, and choosing to help carry that weight, even in a small way. Every gift card sent is a message: you are seen, you matter too, and this community has your back.

How It Works

For every $5 donated, a CHD family currently navigating a hospital stay or recovery receives a coffee gift card. Approved families receive a one-time gift card per application and can reapply once a month for as long as they need support during a hard season.

Who This Is For

Any family with a child currently hospitalized, in recovery, or navigating frequent appointments due to a congenital heart defect diagnosis. There’s no lengthy process and no hoops to jump through — just a small, real form of support when it matters most.
